WWDC20 In Short

So, if you don't know, the WWDC20 just happened a few days ago. This is an annual event hosted by Apple to announce its newest updates, products, and more. This year they announced the release of iOS 14 which is to happen in mid-September. The improvements made in the software are tremendous. It took Apple more than a decade to make the interface more user-friendly, but now that it's here, let's get to the good stuff.

Firstly, the major change is that they have introduced Widgets to the iPhones which help us, users, to organize our workspaces easily.
Secondly, there is also an App Library at the end of all the pages on the Home Screen. Also, this feature allows us to save a lot of space on our pages by removing apps that we don't use frequently but might want to use it later.
Thirdly, in iOS 14, whenever you get an incoming call the notification stays only in the top part of the screen. To all my other fellow iPhone users, you know how I feel...

There have also been some minor but helpful tweaks in the interface. Like whenever your camera or microphone is in use, there is a small green or orange light on the top of the screen. And my favorite feature is that, in a conference call, if the UI (User Interface) detects a person using sign language, their videos will be pinned to the top of the screen. Also now the picture-in-picture mode has been improved enabling users to multitask even better.

Looking forward to using the software.

Until next time.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
