Social Media : Boon or Burden?

"There is no good or bad social media. Social media is merely a tool and everything depends on how we use it." 

The present youth is very familiar with all sorts of technology. Whenever we think about technology social media as the first thing that pops up in our minds it is one of the most powerful tools and can be used to influence communities across the world.

In recent years we have seen numerous revolutions that started from various forms of technology. For example, the #MeToo movement was of the struggles faced by sexually abused women. The #BlackLivesMatter movement spoke out against the racial injustice against African-Americans in North America and the #Pride movement inspired people all over the world to support the LGBTQ+ community. These are some examples of the positive influential powers of technology and the internet.

  

As we all know for every good there is a bad and so there is an obvious flip side to technology. There is a lot of bad things that happened using technology hackers use their own set of special tools to fetch personal data and sell it to people on the darknet. Or infiltrate a person's bank account to make anonymous transactions to make easy money.

In conclusion, all we can do on our site is to keep ourselves safe from such heinous crimes avert from committing such crimes. Technology is a wonderful tool and can bring people together from across the world for a good cause. Doing so will help in promoting peace and harmony in society and eventually all over the world.
